Why We Make Content Instead of Ads
After nearly a year of working with AI, I learned one thing.
There are no shortcuts. In the end it comes down to care, persistence, and how solid your goal really is.
If I'm going to spend the same time and tokens anyway, I'd rather spend them on something that matters. No more digital landfill that gets consumed and forgotten. So I built a free personality analysis. It took a month.

I tried to figure out how to market Quiga (quiga.io). Card posts on Instagram? A YouTube video?
I put a few things up on Instagram, then my hands stopped. That kind of content only gets consumed the week it goes up — nobody looks at it again after that. It was obvious that what I'd spent time making would just end up as digital landfill. Its shelf life ends when the trend does.
We live in an age where you can make almost anything if you put your mind to it. So shouldn't that time go toward something that lasts, not something that gets consumed and disappears?
The things that stick around over time turned out to be content and stories. Like old fairy tales, dated movies, worn paperbacks.
So I decided: no ads — make something useful instead.
I picked a question that never goes out of style
First, I tried out various long-tail content that was already out there. As I thought about what kind of content to make, I landed on a question that never goes out of fashion.
Who am I, and what kind of person am I?
People say personality tests are old news. And yet people keep taking them. A new one comes out and they do it again. I figured it's not a trend — it's something people are just naturally curious about.
So I did a few searches, and the algorithm helpfully pointed me toward the big ad-spending sites, so I tried them firsthand. ^^

I answered every question to the end, carefully and honestly. It took a while — I even woke up in the middle of the night to finish.
The results were blurred out

The last screen showed my results. Blurred out. Only one of the four letters was visible. (Ugh, so annoying lol)
Then the payment screen. 19.80 US dollars???? Discounted to 1.98 US dollars, it said, in big text.
The fine print below:
“I agree to be charged 28.80 US dollars per month until I cancel my subscription.”
What I thought was 1.98 US dollars was actually 28.80 US dollars a month. And to save your results, hand over your email.
Honestly, I was angry. Not so much about the money — more about the time I'd already put in up to that point. The time I'd spent picking answers was already paid out, and now it was being held hostage.
I decided right then and there: make it free. Let's go for 51 languages !!
Easy to say, a lot of work to do
Analyzing, building the engine, revising, refining — it took nearly a month just to get through all of that, including the image production.
Starting from 82 questions, I rewrote the scoring and analysis methodology from scratch. For the result descriptions, I worked through multiple cases per type. For the personality compatibility pairings, I wrote all 136 pairs one by one. I designed around 4,000 combinations so that all 128 personality types come out with distinct differences.
I developed the calculation method together with AI and published it openly. It's entertainment, but I didn't want people to be disappointed by their results — and I figured it was right to show how the math works.
I thought about saving results too. Personality data is a nice asset to collect. But it's personal information, and there's no reason for us to hold onto someone else's personality. So results live in the link itself, not on a server.
But I got things wrong several times along the way.
Machine-generated drafts kept falling short of the bar, so I ran them back through again and again. Revision after revision after revision.
The compatibility pairings were worse. Even after rebuilding them twice there were still problems left over, so in the end I read all 136 pairs out loud. Then rewrote nearly half of them by hand, from scratch.
I posted it to a community
There was one thing I was worried about: what if the results came out way off?

Here's what came back:
Oh wow this is cool, it's really detailed
The questions on this site feel really sharp
Yeah the questions and the interpretations are specific and it seems to fit well
Yep, routine master — spot on lol
People said their results came out almost exactly matching the type they already knew. Some even said it fit better than the tests they'd used before.
That feedback meant a lot. It gave me energy too. So I went at it day and night — pouring in even more than I had during the actual development.
What's different
Words are easy to doubt, so I'll share my own result as-is.

The hearth that always keeps the same flame (ENFJ-AL). Here's what it says on the screen: can't stand it when a group chat goes cold, books a drinking session the moment a junior seems down, and the longer you know them, the more likely they are to remember your birthday first.
The axes show as percentages, with this note beside them: “The size isn't good or bad — it's how clearly defined that grain is.” It's not a score. This is play, not a diagnosis.

My entire result lives inside that link. It's not on our servers. Delete the link and it's gone. That's what “we don't store it” means.
Here's the summary:
| The sites I tried | Quiga 128 Personality Analysis | |
|---|---|---|
| View results | Payment required (looks like 1.98 US dollars, but 28.80 US dollars/month) | Free |
| Save results | Requires email | Not stored (lives in the link) |
| Ads | Yes | None |
| Number of types | 16 · 64 | 128 |
| Languages supported | 23 · 49 | 51 goal (5 now) |
| Calculation method | Not disclosed | Public |
I'll be honest, though. 51 languages is the goal — right now only five are properly open. We decided not to unlock a language until a human has read through it, so progress is slow. There's also still a bug where if you come in from a language that isn't ready yet, you'll see a wrong language instead. We're fixing it.
Give it a try and let me know. Whether it felt accurate, or where something seemed off. That feedback shapes the next version.

There's more in the works. I want to keep making things that last, not things that get consumed and forgotten. I hope you'll drop by Quiga (quiga.io) from time to time.
One more ask: we're in the process of opening up those 51 languages, and we're looking for people to help with translation. Just someone who can flag where something reads awkwardly in their native language. Always welcome.
If you stop by now and then, you'll catch us growing — little by little.
I actually haven't written yet about why I built Quiga in the first place. That's next time ~ See you then, with more to share.
