Let’s Make a Circus with Technology — Back to the Circus After 13 Years
It took us 13 years to arrive at one sentence: “Let’s make a circus with technology.”
After eight years in finance, we stepped into AR technology in 2012 as if fate had led us there. From that moment on, we devoted ourselves to transforming education through AR and VR. We created more than 1,000 pieces of content with around 150 companies and institutions, grew apps used by 1.5M people, won the grand prize at the Ministry of Science and ICT’s 2017 VR · AR Grand Challenge, and earned Google’s Teacher Approved badge.
And yet, something felt strange. The more achievements we gathered, the farther we seemed to drift from the “joy of the circus” we had dreamed about from the beginning.
After a long way around, we found ourselves standing before our first question again. What, in the end, is technology for?
So we distilled our answer into one line: “Let’s make a circus with technology.” True to the circus mission, we would make technology fun and delicious, and redefine digital value. We now live in a time when conviction can become action—so at last, we are truly beginning the circus.
For the first leg of this voyage, we have two pieces of news to share today.
① We have launched a new Circus Company website. It tells the story of our past 13 years and where we are headed next, just as we always hoped to tell it. We prepared it in 51 languages so anyone, anywhere in the world, can read it.
② We have launched Quiga. It is a portal for quizzes and thinking games the whole family can enjoy together: zero ads · zero loot boxes · zero hidden payments · zero installs. Quiga is also available in 51 languages, because fun and value should have no borders. These free web games require no install—you can simply play in the browser.
